How to make your team flourish
The most valuable way to spend time with your team is by developing personal relationships with the individual members.
We live under the delusion that frequent team meetings are a good use of our time. Not true. At best meetings are a necessary evil. At worst, they are a massive time suck.
Instead of running weekly meetings, run monthly meetings and spend your extra time forming one-on-one relationships with your individual team members. Listen. Find things to like about them. Understand their perspective. Look for their strengths. Enable them to succeed.
Frequent meetings will drag your team down. Relationships and a shared vision will make your team flourish.
